The Governor's Council on Climate Change continues to gather input from stakeholders across the state, as part of its charge to develop a strategy/plan to meet the state's mandated goal of an 80% reduction in GHG emissions below 2001 levels by the year 2050.
You can find photos, video and other information about both 2016 gatherings here.
These multi-site events are linked via videoconferencing, with participants at each location viewing presentations via video link and then engaging in locally facilitated dialogue. For the May 17, 2017 event, we will have 3 locations: Hartford (CT DEEP headquarters), New Haven (Gateway Community College), and Stamford (UConn).
Participants in this round of stakeholder dialogue will focus on opportunities to reduce emissions from the TRANSPORTATION sector.
All of the sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, May 17th, 6:30pm-8:30pm, with refreshments available at 6:00pm.
The CT Roundtable on Climate and Jobs is helping to coordinate logistics for these gatherings.
